The Never Ending Battle of Forgiveness

Why is forgiveness so difficult? I've talked about this before, (that post can be found HERE) and that's because it's something I know we all struggle with at some point in our lives.

It's easy to forgive when someone's sorry, it's entirely different when there's no remorse or feeling of repentance. It's extremely hard to forgive when you're being targeted, you're being attacked. How are we suppose to forgive that person?

I wish I had an easy answer, I wish there was a way not to care, I wish there was a way to ignore those feelings of hurt. But in all honesty, there isn't a way to make forgiving easy. It's a daily battle that can only happen with a great deal of help from Jesus. .
I don't know how we're suppose to forgive the unforgivable, but I do know that's what we're suppose to do. Right now that means treating those who've hurt me with kindness and love. Perhaps one of the hardest things to do; do unto others as you'd have them do unto you. Because when we don't know what to say, do, or feel, the only one who does know (Jesus) told us to be kind one to another.

Today will be a good day because kindness will always prevail, forgiveness heals where bitterness destroys. Through my journey with forgiveness I've come to understand just how awesome the forgiveness of Christ is, not only because he forgives, but because he forgets. Oh how I wish I could forget like Christ. .

I hope to encourage anyone struggling with forgiveness today, I know how difficult it is, I know there's probably no love or kindness inside your heart to give to those who've wronged you. But there's plenty flowing from Jesus, fill yourself with him and you'll be able to accomplish things you never thought were possible
